Neighborhood Reunion V
Was held Saturday, September 10, 2016 at
St. Clair Shores Memorial Park
We were all together for a day of food, fun, and reminiscing with our friends about the "good olde days!"
The fifth St. Martin Neighborhood Reunion hit a grand slam home run! With some 350 plus neighborhood residents and grads of the old school in attendance, it was a Saturday afternoon full of hugs, great memories and a celebration of the Jefferson-Chalmers area now officially designated as a “National Treasure."
We had our unofficial Grand Marshall, George LaCharite, Class of 1935, in attendance as he marked his 100th birthday.
There were proud grads from the 1940s, with a solid representation from the 1950s, scads of the 1960s alumni, a wonderful showing of our last class of 1970 – PLUS outstanding representation from our “phantom” classes of the 1970s decade . While the weather sometimes threatened, the skies were clear and the smiles sunny for the class pictures you can find on this site.
It was an exhilarating chapter in our book on our St. Martin neighborhood. Mark your calendars now for the upcoming sixth St. Martin Neighborhood Reunion, Saturday, Sept. 7, 2019.
The "Go Cadets!" spirit is still alive and well!
